Corey Cook Obituary

Corey Michael Cook, 27

Corey Michael Cook, 27, passed away unexpectedly on December 6th, 2024, in Las Vegas, NV. Born December 24, 1996, to Jamee Leann Ursillo in Coeur D'Alene, ID, Corey was adopted in 1998 by John Ray Cook, becoming the heart of a loving family.

Corey was cheerful and kind growing up. He found joy in sports, camping, and family adventures. Graduating from Lake City High School in 2015, he shined as a wrestler and football player. Post-high school, Corey excelled in finish carpentry and pursued his passion for MMA and boxing, winning his 1st Main Event bout at the CDA Casino.

In early 2021, Corey moved to Las Vegas with dreams of becoming a professional boxer. Despite many challenges, his determination never wavered.

Corey is predeceased by several beloved great-grandparents and relatives. He is survived by his sweet girl Missy, devoted parents John and Jamee Cook of Priest River, ID, biological Father James Crockett of Spokane, WA, and an abundance of siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, who all cherished his infectious smile and encouraging nature.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, January 25th, 2025, at the AKA Gym in Hayden, ID. In lieu of flowers, consider making a small donation to the Corey Cook "Wolf Fund." Using this fund, Corey's Parents will support ongoing equipment needs for youth boxers @ AKA.
