Dianne Simpson Obituary

Dianne Simpson, 79

Dianne K. Simpson (Dee Dee) 79 of Rathdrum, Idaho, passed away on September 21, 2025, at home with loved ones.

Dianne was born on August 28, 1946, in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho to Doris and Bill Lowman and later adopted by her grandmother Marion Lion and Ralph Wark.

Dianne married Joe Simpson on October 1st, 1974, they shared nearly 50 wonderful years of life together in Rathdrum, Idaho where they raised a blended family.

Dianne enjoyed spending time on the Coeur d'Alene river with family and friends, she had the gift of being able to talk with many people when she wanted. Her biggest passion was spending time with her Granddaughter Jennifer Hogan before she passed in 2009.

Dianne is survived by her two children Russell Orne and Sheila Orne.

She was preceded in death by Joe Simpson (Husband) Jennifer Hogan (Granddaughter) her grandmother, mother and many uncles whom she loved dearly.

A graveside service will be held for Joe (Husband passed 11/6/2023) and Dianne Simpson October 3rd, 2025, at 2:00pm at Pinegrove cemetery in Rathdrum, Idaho. We will be having a celebration of life/potluck (optional) for Joe and Dianne to follow at the Rathdrum Lions Club next to the cemetery.
