Elda Hardin Obituary
Elda Mae Hardin, 80 of Post Falls Idaho passed away to be with Jesus on May 23, 2023. She had been a vivacious member of the community since moving back to the Northwest in 2015. She was born on December 4, 1942 in Potlach, Idaho to Winthrop & Neta Shattuck. She was the youngest and the most bubbly redhead of their three kids. She graduated from Potlatch High School in 1960 and married Bob Clinesmith shortly after in 1962. They had two sons who she adored, Mike and Randy Clinesmith. She raised their boys on a farm in Benge, WA. where she was a school bus driver – by far one of her favorite jobs she ever had.
She moved to Virginia in 1988 to follow and marry her High School sweetheart, Dave Hardin, until his passing in 2005. She loved her life there with her church and friends she considered family.
Elda Mae had a big personality with an even bigger smile to match. Her passions included joining in with friends at her favorite restaurant to share laughs and the joys of life. She never meet a stranger and was quick to make a friend and include people in lunch or events. She will be missed by her friends and family. As she would famously say at the end of a visit 'love you oddles and oddles, bye bye for now'
She is survived by her sons, Mike Clinesmith (Caryn) and Randy Clinesmith (Beth). Her five grandchildren, Ashley Clinesmith (Brandon Stewart), Megan Clinesmith, Spencer Clinesmith (Briyanna), Nathan Clinesmith, and Hannah Clinesmith. In addition, her five great-grandchildren and all nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her family and had been an important figure to many.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, husband Dave Hardin, brother Arthur Shattuck, sister Margaret Harmon and grandson Jacob Clinesmith.
We would like to thank the Life Center staff and team at Post Falls for all the care and support that they did for Elda Mae. She truly loved this team.
Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Valley Real Life 1:00 p.m. at 1831 S Barker Rd Greenacres, WA 99016. With a celebration time after service.

I'm little late finding out that this DEAR lady passed away she and I would call ever now and again and was thinking we hadn't talked in a awhile and mentioned it to a family member of mine that I was going call her and thats how I heard I knew her when she lived in Louisa,Va. I'm so sorry for yalls loss she was such a bubbly and Godly lady she will be missed by so many she is diffently rest with Jesus now!!

I just came across the obituary for Elda Mae. My heart is so sad to hear of her passing. She became so dear to me and my girls after we started attending church where she attended. Spend many time going to dinner or juststopping by her house outside of Louisa and visiting. I have thought of her so often but was unsure how i could reach her.Prayers for the family during this time. Becky Cave
