Janet Louise Kleinsmith, 85

Janet Louise Kleinsmith, 85, of Post Falls, Idaho, beloved wife and mother, died on September 22, 2024 of natural causes. She is survived by husband, Homer L. Kleinsmith; sons: Mark E. Swisher of Walla Walla, WA, Randall A. Swisher of Airway Heights, WA, and Tony W. Beal of Dawson, Nebraska; numerous family members, including over 30 grandchildren and great grandchildren.



Janet was born to Earl and Flora Fiegel June 8, 1939 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Janet, a native of Coeur d'Alene, graduated from Coeur d'Alene High School and later attended North Idaho College and received an Associate's Degree in Nursing. She was an assistant at Coeur d'Alene Nursing Home and later pursued a career in the US Forest Service. She retired from the Coeur d'Alene Tree Nursery after 30 years of service.



Janet was a people person and loved the outdoors. She loved and raised numerous children in the local community.



Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Yates Funeral Home – Hayden Chapel, 373 E. Hayden Ave., Hayden, ID with a viewing at 10:00 AM. A reception will follow the funeral before the graveside at 2:00 PM at Riverview Cemetery, 1065 N. Lincoln Way, Coeur d'Alene, ID.
