On weekends when I was stationed on Treasure Island in the Navy, I would take a bus to Sacramento, call my Aunt Beverly to pick me up and stay with my Grandpa & Grandma Field. On Sunday Uncle Larry would pick me up and drive me back to Treasure Island on his way to the airport. Because he showed his Marine Reserve Officer ID to get in, I always loved to watch the Marine guard snap to attention and salute him. He will be missed.
