Murray Robitaille Obituary

Murray Robitaille, 90

Born in Salinas, California, Murray spent most of his formative years in Los Angeles. From a young age, he had a deep love for the outdoors and sports, especially gymnastics. He thrived on adventure-whether it was camping, hiking, snow skiing, waterskiing, or fishing-and carried that energetic spirit throughout his life.

A true jack-of-all-trades, Murray began his professional life in law enforcement, a field he remained passionate about even as his career path evolved. He later transitioned into the early tech industry to support his growing family, always striving to provide the best life he could for them. His generosity extended beyond his immediate family, as he and his wife welcomed several foreign exchange students into their home, treating them like their own.

Murray's entrepreneurial spirit led him to the mountains, where he owned and operated two successful pizza restaurants. After selling the businesses, he returned to his roots in law enforcement, beginning a third career in crime scene investigation. He approached this role with seriousness and dedication, continuously educating himself on the latest technologies and methods, earning deep respect in his field.

A man of many passions, Murray loved to travel-whether exploring the country in an RV or visiting destinations abroad, with a special fondness for Mexico. Later in life, he discovered a new love in theatre, acting and producing, and even ran a local theatre with his wife.

Murray is survived by his beloved wife, Laura; his children, Arleen Jimenez, Sue Clarke (Don), and Mark Robitaille (Alli); stepdaughters Brandi and Erin; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, hard work, and inspiration. His warmth, generosity, and zest for life left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He will be dearly missed.
