Charles Richard Moore

1944 - 2025

Charles Richard Moore, 81, of Elkton, MD, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025. Born in Rising Sun, MD, on June 13, 1944, he was the son of the late Ralph and Lee Ola Pugh Moore.

Mr. Moore was a proud member of the Elkton Moose Lodge for 22 years and worked as a forklift instructor for more than 35 years with Daimler Chrysler. He was an avid sports fan who loved NASCAR, the Baltimore Orioles, and the Ravens. He enjoyed spending time outdoors riding his John Deere and shared his love of baseball as a dedicated coach.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Corcoran Moore; children, Dennis Moore (Wendy), Milford, DE, Douglas Moore (Mary), Elkton, MD, Kathy Page McCarthy, Sharon Downward (Larry), Middletown, DE, Erik Frank (Joanna), Elkton, MD, Anthony Frank, Elkton, MD, William Frank, Sarasota, FL, and Stephanie Kerr, Claymont, DE; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Carl Moore (Evelyn), Lorraine England, Norma Roberts, and Shirley Orr (Sam); daughter-in-law, Joanie Page; and sister-in-law, Reba Moore.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Douglas Page and siblings, C. Ray Moore, Janet Montgomery, and Ralph "Eddie" Moore, Jr.

Funeral service will be 11 AM, Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Interment will be in Cherry Hill Methodist Cemetery, Elkton, MD
