Dinesh Shah Obituary
Dr. Shah was born in Lathi, Gujarat, India on June 28, 1948, and was the son of the late Babubhai D. and Kusum (Kothari) Shah. He made his career as an internal medicine physician, and operated a private practice in North East, Md. from 2000 until his retirement in 2011. Kind and compassionate, Dr. Shah's patients were very fond of him and he greatly enjoyed his interactions with them, treating each as family.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nisha D. Shah; son, Kumar D. Shah of Newark; daughter, Rashmi A. Mehta (Aneesh) of Seattle, WA; brother, Jitendra B. Shah of India; sister, Alka M. Vakharia (Minesh) of India; and grandchildren, Suravi and Vyaan.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 5:30 p.m. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 200 Continental Dr., Suite 101, Newark, DE 19713.
