Joan Finnefrock Obituary
Born on January 22 1933 to the late Wilfred Love and Clara Crothers Love of Conowingo MD. Joan was married to Horace E Finnefrock for 64 years at the time of his death in January of 2016.
Joan is survived by her four children Joni Ewing (Dennis Fenninger), Richard Finnefrock (Catherine), Dina Renshaw (William), and Cathy Reinhardt (Kenneth). Along with her six grandchildren Rebecca, Richard Caleb, Kenneth Tyler, Julia, Raven, and Caitlyn. As well as six great grandchildren.
Joan was born and raised in the Conowingo area. She was a proud resident of Connelly Rd with her beloved husband Horace for over 60 years. She worked many jobs ranging from secretary at the Conowingo Dam to Administrative Assistant for Cecil County Parks and Recreation. But by far her favorite job of all was being a mother and a grandmother. She was known as Mom, Mommom, Nan, Memom, and Grandmom to many over the years. The Finnefrock's door was always open to anyone in need of a good meal, laughter, one of her magic hugs, or just a warm conversation.
Her friends and family will forever remember her compassionate heart, endless stories, her wisdom, love of reading and history, but above all her sense of humor. She will be deeply missed.
In addition to her parents, Joan is proceeded in death by her son in law Leon Ewing, older sisters Lillian Love Hopkins and Hallie Love Campbell. As well as younger brother Wilfred Benjamin Love and younger sister Carolyn Love Pearthree.
The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses Jordan, Lauren, and Kayla of Amedisys Hospice for the love and care they provided for Joan. The smile they kept on her face meant more than they will ever know.
Interment will be private.
