John Wesley Obituary
John moved to Fair Hill, MD, in 1951 when his parents purchased The Hollow Inn (later and better known as Wesley's). He attended Massanutten Military Academy, West Nottingham Academy, and graduated from Elkton High School. His vocation was Wesley's, where he worked his entire life as owner, bartender, host, in the package store, and as the innovator of dining room specials. When people spoke of Wesley's, they spoke of John.
John lived life on fast-forward; always wanting to do and go. He enjoyed playing golf, boating, traveling, entertaining, and spending time in Myrtle Beach, SC. He worked hard, enjoyed life to the fullest and wanted everyone around him to do the same. Throughout the years, he was a member of many organizations and clubs in Cecil County and the State of Maryland.
He will be dearly missed by his best friend and wife, Sandralee Bohl Wesley; son, Rich Wesley (Jennifer); granddaughters, Devon and Paige Wesley; brothers, Jeff Wesley (Debbie) and Kenny Wesley; and his beloved dogs, Quincy, Aries and Ginger.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John "Jackie" Wesley, IV; and brother, Ronald "Ronnie" Wesley.
Funeral service will be held at a later date.

John wesley was a wonderful man...Almost every photo album my mom and i own has many memories of truly caring and compassionate pictures at the wesley house with what ive always known as my extended family...john was such a special person for lots of reasons but one in particular is that he was my moms true friend so much so that she asked john if he would do her the honor of giving her away at her wedding and without hesitation john kindly obliged...i cant thank the wesley family enough for making my family part of thiers...we will miss you john and you will never be forgotten...Thank you for all the love and all the memories...

John was a great friend and someone who always had time to meet and greet you to Wesley's. He was truly a good friend and someone that I had the pleasure of knowing and being a part of my life. he will be deeply missed and will never be replaced, he was truly one of a kind. My prayers go out to him and his family. May his legacy go on living.

Its hard to imagine Wesley's atmosphere without John there to greet us. He has been a wealth of fun stories over the years and has always presented a caring attitude. He will be sorely missed. Our heart and thoughts go out to Sandy and the entire Wesley family and 'regulars' and hope the fond memories will outweigh the sadness during this time.

I have been an employee working for Johnny for the better part of 25 years. His infectious smile and gigantic, one-of-a-kind personality will be so dearly missed by all who knew him. He was an amazing man and like a second father to me and countless others. His absence will leave an immense void in the hearts and lives of many but we will carry on for him and his legacy will live on with us as soon as our lives return to some normalcy.
