Kathleen MacNamara Obituary

Kathleen B. MacNamara, 84, of Lewes, DE passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025. Born in Elkton, MD on October 18, 1940, she was the daughter of the late John Aloysius and Catherine Lytle Beers.

Kathy had a long and successful career as a bank manager, where she was known for her dedication, professionalism, and strong work ethic until her well-deserved retirement. Outside of work, she had a passion for yard "sailing" and antiquing. Kathy enjoyed finding hidden gems and cherished the thrill of discovering unique, timeless pieces.

Survivors include her children, John Terence Mackie, Parkville, MD, Lisa Mackie, Easton, MD, Carolyn Rhegness (Jim), St. Augustine, FL, and Susan Mackie, Havertown, PA; grandchildren, Meghan Roughton (Harrison), Lauren Rhegness, Kendra O'Connor, and Eamon O'Connor; great-granddaughter, Reagan Roughton; brother, Thomas Beers, Cincinnati, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Rev J. Michael Beers and Lawrence Beers; and son-in-law, Dennis O'Connor.

Graveside service will be held 11:30 AM, Monday, February 24, 2025 in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Singerly Road, Elkton, MD 21921.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Attn: Memorial Giving at 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
