Mary Allen Obituary
Mary had retired from Pirrelli Cable of Elkton. She loved sewing, reading and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her mother Leona Allen, 1 sister Ruth C. Beal, 3 brothers, William "Brother", Edward and Arnold "Sonny".
She is survived by her daughter Mary "Ruthie" Hearn and her husband Terry of Davidsonville, 1 brother with whom she lived, Richard Allen of Elkton, 2 grandchildren, Alexandra and Blake Hearn, 18 nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Friday, August 18th at 1 p.m. at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, DE. Visitation will be from Noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Townsend Cemetery.
The family suggests contributions to Amedisys Hospice, 107 Chesapeake Blvd., Suite 134, Elkton, MD 21921.

My Dearest Mother, I think of you everyday. I miss you everyday. I pray that you are watching over my husband Terry, your granddaughter Alexandra Elizabeth (named in your honor), and your grandson Blake, Uncle Rick, and me. I remember always your work ethic to provide for yourself and your family. I remember always your wisdom to guide me to a life that values education, hard work, and concern for others. I remember always that you were guided by God; you listened when he provided miracles in your life to buy a new house alone when others would have thought “impossible” and to adopt an abandoned baby girl (me) alone when others would have thought “impossible.” In your honor, I try to listen to that inner voice, praying that it’s the right voice, God’s voice or your voice, to not think that something right is impossible. I’m evidence that you proved that nothing is impossible. We miss you and we love more always, Your Daughter and Family

Rest peacefully Aunt Libby. I have so many good memories from childhood of Easter, birthdays, and just fun visits. My heart goes out to Ruthie and to Rickie. May your hearts heal quickly knowing she is with her family in heaven.
