Kenneth Morlan Obituary

Kenneth Herman Morlan, age 81, of El Dorado Springs, MO, passed away on January 15, 2025, at Lake Stockton Healthcare Facility. He was born in Caplinger Mills, MO to Albert Herman Morlan and Helen (Haynes) Morlan. Kenneth was a graduate of Stockton High School. Kenneth married Betty Beaty, March 11, 1961. To this union, Alan and Amanda were born.
Kenneth was a construction superintendent for the majority of his time in the workforce, traveling the midwest building water treatment facilities. On the weekends Kenneth could be found at a livestock show, tinkering with equipment, or in his large pristine garden. Following retirement, he was most often in his garden or chasing around his "little buddy" Clancy. Kenneth and his friend, Charlie Prough, were always up to shenanigans, and if they weren't on the go, you were sure to see Kenneth at J. Beaty Farm Equipment, holding down a stool.
Preceding Kenneth in death were his wife, Betty; parents; and grandson, Clancey Wade Silvers.
Survivors include two children, Alan Morlan of Houston, TX, and Amanda (Morlan) Silvers of Nevada, MO; granddaughter, Claire Silvers; great-grandson, Clancy Wade Scotten; four sisters: Vicki Greenwood (Dennis), Kathy Jones (Jackie), Jane Snavely (Duane), and Joy Stephens (Richard); and numerous extended family members.
Graveside services for Kenneth Morlan were held on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at the El Dorado Springs City Cemetery with Brent Bland officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
