Constance Ware Obituary
Connie was born on February 3, 1926, to Myrtle Wiltshire Gammon and Richard Lloyd Gammon and raised in Richmond. As a young woman, she was proud of her work with the C&O Railroad.
Connie then met and married the love of her life, Franklin Knight Ware, and moved to his farm in Louisa County. She spent the remainder of her life at Twin Farms and was married for over 50 years. Connie was active in the community and was an elder emeritus at Holly Grove Christian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Anne Barlow (Tommy) and Jane Lloyd Harris (Joe); two grandchildren, Sarah Barlow Rudolph (Charlie) and Nathan Harris (Angie); three great-grandsons, Finley Harris, Porter Rudolph and River Harris; and her dear brother-in-law, Vincent "Turk" Cilimberg, who was the brother she never had.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Virginia Gammon Cilimberg.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 26, at Holly Grove Christian Church, Bumpass.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holly Grove Christian Church, 1637 Holly Grove Dr., Bumpass, VA 23024.
Arrangements are being made by Lacy Funeral Home, Mineral.
