Garrett Lyron Jackson

1972 - 2018

Garrett Lyron Jackson, of Mineral, was born on February 9, 1972, to Yvonne Mallory Jackson and the late Alex L. Jackson.
The Lord saw fit to suddenly call Garrett into eternal rest on June 30, 2018, leaving to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 17 years, Toyrie Shelton Jackson; his mother, Yvonne; brothers, Alex Jackson and wife, Sharell, and Corey Mallory and wife, Chantel; beloved nephew, Devin Jackson-McGhee; and niece, Kalisha Houchens; and his brother-in-law, Caleb Vickers.
Garrett was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Bumpass, and the Pride of Hanover Lodge #264 Free and Accepted Masons, where he served as Junior Steward. He received his education in Louisa County Public Schools. He worked for years alongside his father at Jackson Backhoe Service and later went on to start his own trucking business for himself. At the time of his passing, he was employed by Republic Services in Richmond, Virginia.
Garrett will be remembered for his lively spirit and always being the life of the party. He enjoyed fellowship with family and friends, and he will always be remembered and loved by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held on July 7, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 3909 Holly Grove Drive, Bumpass, Va. 23024. A viewing will be held from noon until 8 p.m. on July 6, 2018 at Robert Mealy Funeral Home, 2530 Dogtown Rd., Goochland, Va. 23063.
