Geraldine Wright Obituary

Geraldine L. Wright, 80, of Louisa, Virginia, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2018 at Louisa Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Lee and Lillian Gammon Thacker; her brother, Ernest Thacker, and his wife, Hattie Arlene Thacker; and her nephew, Ernest Thacker, Jr.
Geraldine always had a love of work and regretted retiring at the age of 73 when her health began to fade. She worked many jobs within the community, making countless friends along the way. She had a great love of animals and had many pets, which she considered her children throughout the years.
She is survived by two brothers, Harry Thacker (Barbara) and James Thacker(Joyce), of Louisa; her nephews, Bruce Thacker (Becky), Steven Thacker (Sylvia), Charlie Thacker (Danielle), Doug Thacker (Anita), and Donald Thacker (Chrissy); her nieces, Sarah Rosson (Carl), Pamela Patrick and Lynn Gentry (Dennis); as well as many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the Louisa County Animal Shelter, P. O. Box 1980 Louisa, VA 23093.
