Kenneth Berry Obituary

Kenneth Louis Berry Sr., 81, of Fredericksburg, formerly of Louisa, went to be with his Lord, March 11, following a valiant battle with cancer.
Ken was born in Columbus, Ohio, in 1935 to Hezikahia Berry and Dovie Burton and in 1953 was married to Mary Lou Keyser of Johnstown, Ohio.
Ken and Mary Lou relocated to Virginia in 1968 and in 1972 opened K and K Heating and Air Conditioning. Ken also owned and operated Ken Mar Heating and Air Conditioning up until his retirement.
Ken became a born again Christian in 1987 and devoted the remainder of his life to sharing the Gospel with everyone he met. He was later called to preach and spent many years ministering to the elderly in nursing homes, as well as preaching and teaching in his local church, Open Door Baptist.
Survivors include a brother, Frank Berry of Dallas Texas; his Son, Kenneth Berry Jr. of Fredericksburg; and his daughters, Marie Berry of Fredericksburg and Pamela Grimm of Louisa. Ken also enjoyed the company of his 10 grandkids, 18 great-grandkids and four great-great-grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hezikahia and Dovie Berry of Columbus Ohio; sisters, Wanda Berry and Mary Freck of Columbus, Ohio; his wife, Mary Lou Berry; his infant son, Hezikahia Berry; his brother, Richard Berry of Dallas Texas; his sister, Jeanette Saunders of Fredericksburg; and his grandson, Gregory Lawrence.
A viewing and funeral service will be held in Fredericksburg.
