Norman Syrkes Obituary

Norman Lee Syrkes was born on August 13, 1950, to the late Edward and Hannah Jane Syrkes. Norman departed this life on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at his home in Mineral, Virginia.
Norman attended the Louisa County Public Schools system. He worked at Eddie Chewing and John Masson Lumber Companies. He loved playing cards, watching western movies and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Carl, Curtis, Gennie, Henry and Joseph.
Norman touched the lives of so many.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his brother, Nathan Syrkes (Emma Jane); his four sisters, Ruth Jackson (Milton), Pearl Minor, Bertha and Louise Syrkes; sister in-law, Brenda Syrkes; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. Jerry Coleman, were held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at St. John Baptist Church, Mineral. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Thomasson Watson Funeral Service, Inc., Louisa. C
