Anne Coulter Obituary
Anne B. Coulter September 7, 1925 December 30, 2013 Anne B. Coulter (Gladys Anne Bonson), 88, passed on to her heavenly home on Dec. 30, 2013, where she took the hands of Jesus her Savior and the love of her life, Robert H. Coulter, who preceded her passing on April 15, 2007. Anne and Bob were united in marriage Jan. 12, 1946 in Reedsville, and were married 61 years. Although she was blessed with many friends and a large extended family that she loved dearly - she missed her husband desperately. She was given the wonderful gift of hospitality and all who entered her home felt welcome. She was a gentle spirit with a huge heart - a special quiet woman of God. Anne was the daughter and first child of James A. Bonson and Alberta Hackett Bonson born on Sept. 7, 1925 in Milroy. Surviving siblings include J. Howard Bonson (wife Delores)(wife Betty - deceased), Armilda J. Miller (husband Stanley - deceased), Emily J. Bonson, Frank A. Bonson (wife Barbara) and Marlin A. H. Bonson (wife Vi - deceased). Anne was the mother of four children, Linda A. Shotsberger (husband David), James R. Coulter (wife Cheryl), William N. Coulter (wife Alicia) and John H. Coulter (deceased - April 1, 1979). Grandchildren include David L. Shotsberger, Jr. (wife Holly), Melissa Coulter, William M. Coulter (wife Rachael), Kimberly J. Coulter Searer (husband Matt) and Maisie Coulter (friend Tom Love). Great grandchildren include David Shotsberger III, Lydia Shotsberger, Dylan Coulter, Brittany Weaver, Kayla Coulter, Lilie Coulter, Kailynn Coulter, Connor Love and Cameron Love. Anne graduated from Reedsville High School in 1944. After high school, she attended and graduated from Huntingdon Secretarial School. Anne was employed by the Mifflin County School District for 26 years in the dietary department. She belonged to two card clubs (one for over 60 years), ACTWU, Mifflin County School Retirees, Kish Valley Historical Society and was the Reedsville Judge of Elections for over 40 years. She was a member of Church Hill United Methodist Church and requested that memorials be sent in care of the church in lieu of flowers. A memorial service honoring her life will be held at the Church Hill United Methodist Church, Reedsville on Jan. 19, 2014, at 3 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville.
