Port Matilda, Pennsylvania - Beatrice Pauline Hosband, (Aunt Dollie),100, of Port Matilda, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at a Wynwood House in State College. She was born September 24, 1924, in Port Matilda, a daughter of the late William Ray and Alma (Walk) Matts. She was married June 29, 1957, to George Gerald Hosband who died May 9, 2013. She was a graduate of Port Matilda High School and after graduation she was a waitress at the Corner Room in State College and then retired after 23 years at Warnaco Co. in Altoona. Pauline enjoyed crocheting, making crafts and putting puzzles together. She also loved traveling, camping, the Grange Fair and reading her Bible. She was a devoted member of the Hannah Church and held many positions. She lived a life centered on faith and family. She was a great Aunt to so many and will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was the last of her immediate family being preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws Earl and Mabel Hosband, sisters Billie G. Matts (Ralph), Dolores P. Weaver (Paul), and Adeline Matts. Friends will be received at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 5 p.m. to the Funeral Service at 7 p.m. with Pastor Bo King officiating. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Hannah Church c/o Joyce Hosband, P.O.Box 83, Port Matilda, Pa. 16870. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Port Matilda, Pa.
