Dear Carol, Julie & Erica
We just heard about Marchall. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Rodney still talks fondly about Marshall in fact he just mentioned him last night. He still uses the equipment trailer that he and Marshall built. I will always remember his quick funny remarks and layed back personallity. We will miss him! Rodney & Linda Rudolph

Marshall --a very alive, twinkly-eyed, fun-loving guy-- —a life-lover, happy to be married to the love of his life, happy to have his two girls, happy to root around in dumpsters for good stuff that people had thrown out, and put it together with something else and make an invention. Not a follower of rules or conventions, not a conventional person in even the smallest way. When I think of Marshall I always think of Carol-- quiet, funny, kinda conventional, but in the most important way, (to Marshall at least, I guess) as unconventional as could be, because her calm waters never seemed to ripple at all as a result of Marshall being Marshall. Marshall Ritter-- a true original, a sweet and wonderful guy. We'll miss you at camp.

Dear Carol & Famiy,
I was just talking to Judi over the holidays about you guys. What a shock! I know it has been years but I still have fond memories of Marshall from high school - especially from the soccer team. He was one of the funniest guys I knew. I also remember all the great work he did on my car. I am so sorry for your loss - you will be in my thoughts.

Ritter family, I met Marshall just a few weeks ago in Mt. Nittany Medical Center. My brother was in the same room. I was impressed by Marshall's upbeat attitude and sense of humor, which seemed to prevail in spite of his situation. I could see he had a loving and supportive family, which was a great blessing to him. My sympathy goes out to you at this time of loss. I'm sure he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Carol -

My heart goes out to you and your family. It has been a long road throughout which you did everything you could to help Marshall try to beat this and live life to the fullest to the very end. May you somehow find comfort in knowing that he is in a better place.
