My sympathy goes out to the family. Charlie was a great guy. I got the pleasure of meeting him threw caring for him. He was always a pleasure to be around.I spent lots of time with him threw work and even on my off time. I would stop by the house just to check in on him. He will be greatly missed by many. I am so glad that I had the chance to meet him and get to know him. RIP Charlie you have shown us all that a lot of determination gets you a long. way

Charlie was a good neighbor. He plowed snow from our driveway many times and it was much appreciated. He always took the time to stop and talk. He always knew what was going on in town. God bless you, Charlie.

Charlie will be missed. I knew him 20 years ago when he plowed the Boalsburg sidewalks with his specially outfitted lawn tractor with canvas cab, and folks called him "Choo-Choo Charlie." My wife Tracey used to work at Duffy's and always enjoyed his ribald company. When I was a resident at Hearthside four years ago, I was Charlie's next door neighbor for a while; he was always fun. And his wheelchair was faster. Later, when our band would play there, Charlie would be waiting at the door for us, and would always request Mountain Dew, and we'd always play it for him. Charlie was a dear, and will be missed. The world was a better place with him in it. With love, John Dickison and Tracey Harpster

Rest in peace, Charlie. You will always be the face of Boalsburg for us - patrolling the area on your mower or in your golf cart. You always had a smile for us and a dirty joke. God Bless you.

Family of Charlie,
My memories of Charlie go back to early 80's when he was the manager of the Boalsburg Steak House Over-35 Softball Team. Charlie and I spent many hours discussing coaching strategy and discussing the supremacy of the John Deere lawn tractor. Charlie, you will be missed and thanks for the memories.
My thoughts and prayers go out to your family,
Joe Hayes (Philipsburg)

Charlie made my Saturday mornings at work MUCH more enjoyable. He was more than content to sit with us and keep us entertained in exchange for a fresh pot of coffee. I am so glad I got the chance to know him, and so very sorry for your loss. Hubes was one of a kind, that's for sure.
