Naples, Florida - Diann Joan Dunham, 79 of State College, PA passed away January 10, 2023. She was born in Newark, NY on September 23, 1943 the daughter of Daniel P. and Kathryn (Cornelius) Hurley. She received a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from State University of NY at Oswego. She married Thomas E. Dunham May 1, 1971 in Rota, Spain. Diann worked as an elementary teacher in the Department of Defense schools in Japan, Turkey, and finally Spain where she met her husband. Her passions were her family, quilting, gardening and traveling. She was active in Centre Pieces Quilt Guild in State College and Bonita Quilters in Naples. She was often knitting prayer shawls distributed by her church to the sick, or sewing quilts for family or needy children. She is survived by her husband, daughter Lisa Marie Weiss (Brad), son Tristan, grandchildren Anton and Evan Weiss, sister Carol Mckay (John) and brother in law Robert Dunham (Linda). Funeral mass is to be held at St John the Evangelist 625 111th Ave N Naples, FL 34108 on January 25th at 11am with a reception to follow at St. John the Evangelist. Donations in her name could be sent to American Lung Association.

Diann was an active member of the Ferguson Township Garden Club since 1994. For several years the club always decorated a tree for the Festival of Trees event. Diann always contributed to this and the club usually won each year. Even after she and Tom went to Florida in the winter, she continued to keep in contact with the club. We shall miss her in the years to come.
