Donna R. Franklin

Donna R. Franklin March 26, 1943 October 29, 2018 Donna R. Franklin, 75, of Spring Mills, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018, at Hearthside Nursing and Rehabilitation in State College. Born March 26, 1943, in Shirleysburg, Donna was a daughter of John and Mary Ellen (Dobson) Starr Faust. She was employed at the former Cerro Metal and Brass in Bellefonte, and most recently as a housekeeper at Brookline Village. Donna is survived by one son, Robert "Chris" Schriver and companion Angela Stroud, of Spring Mills; two brothers, Dennis C. Starr (Bonnie), of Spring Mills and Philip D. Starr (Diane), of Millheim; two granddaughters, Brooke and Annabelle Stroud; and a brother-in-law, Ronald "Bill" Leedy. Donna was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Hosterman and Thelma Y. Leedy. Donna was a fan of Nascar racing and Notre Dame and Philadelphia Eagles football. However, she especially loved spending time with her granddaughter Annabelle, playing games, coloring, snuggling and enjoying their daily times of reading. In accordance with Donna's wishes, a celebration of her life will be held at the Millheim Hotel on Saturday, November 10, 2018, from 2-5 p.m. Contributions in memory of Donna may be given to Penns Valley EMS, PO Box 650, Millheim, PA 16854.
