Dorothy Quick Obituary

Dorothy Ann Quick March 27, 1917 -APRIL 11, 2008 Dorothy Ann Quick, 91, formally of Moshannon, passed away Friday April 11, 2008 at Windy Hill Village. Born on March 27, 1917 in Moshannon she was the daughter of the late Clyde Quick and Laura Culver Quick. She is survived by her longtime companion Ernest Whitsel of Snow Shoe. She attended school in Moshannon at the Little Brown School House. Dorothy was a registered nurse who retired in 1972. Dorothy was of the Protestant faith. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 5644 of Snow Shoe and a member of the Snow Shoe Fire Company. Along with her companion Ernest, Dorothy was survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and nephews and many friends who loved her dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and seven brothers. She was the last of her generation. Visitation and funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family with Pastor Doug Mottin officiating. Burial will take place in Askey Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 5644 of Snow Shoe at 627 East Sycamore Road, Snow Shoe PA 16874. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
