Gary M. Marcotrigiano December 8, 1952 December 22, 2012 Gary M. Marcotrigiano, 60, of State College, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at his residence. Born on Dec. 8, 1952, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he is the son of Antoinette (DellaPuerto) Marcotrigiano, of Howard Beach, N.Y., and the late Thomas M. Marcotrigiano. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Eva M. Marcotrigiano, of Portland, Ore. and Leanne T. ("Lea") Marcotrigiano, of North Andover, Mass.; one sister, Deborah Rossi, of Dayton, N.J.; and one brother, Thomas Marcotrigiano and his wife, Marianne, of Howard Beach, N.Y. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donato Marcotrigiano, of Howard Beach, N.Y. Gary was the owner of Gary's Electronics, formerly Hi Fi House, of State College. He was considered a home electronics "guru," and was truly dedicated to his work and his customers. Most importantly though, he was a loving father that never let a day go by without mentioning his two girls. Family will receive friends on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, from 1-3 p.m., at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. Services and burial will be private. I'm sorry to hear of Gary's passing. Gary was my first boyfriend, and I believe his first girlfriend. We were about 11-12 years old. I lived in Lindenwood, Howard Beach. Gary would ride his bike to my house every day. His 2 brothers always followed him in their car to see where he was going all the time. When they would drive by, we would duck into my building (a garden apartment not far from the belt parkway overpass). Gary was a gentle kind soul. Throughout my life I wondered how he was. My sincere condolences to his family. Barbara Feitelson

Dear Eva & Lea,
Please accept our deepest sympathy in the loss of your father. Gary became a good friend over the years. We first did business through the HiFi House in 1980, then dance classes, where he was one of our better students and undeniably the most popular. We regret not having been in touch in the latter par of 2012; and will miss our infrequent visits to catch up.
Sincerely, Brian & Sharon Bassett

So sorry to hear this. Times spent at Gary's store, basking in his knowledge and assistance are some of my most treasurable moments. Rest in peace.

I only met Gary one time, the day we moved Justin in and the one thing he told us about himself was he had 2 daughters. He was very proud of his girls. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I shared a store space with Hi-Fi House when it opened in State College. My son spent two years with Gary as a close friend. I was talking to my wife about Gary and the store on Christmas Eve. I am sorry to know our friend is gone.
