I am so very sorry for your loss. I can only imagine how you are feeling. I haven't seen Jodi in a long time, but we were friends in high school. She was smart and kind, and fun to be with. She was just a really great person. My thoughts and prayers will be with you.

Jodi always had such a remarkable spirit. Even through her illness, she appeared to maintain a positive attitude and lived her life to the fullest. I had the pleasure of knowing Jodi through work friends, and was enriched by her friendship. We so enjoyed going to cultural events together. I know that she is in a better place now that her suffering is over. My sincere condolences to Tracy, and the rest of the family. The strength and positivity of Jodi’s spirit will be with me always.

I worked with Jodi when she moved to Maryland, and knew her from 1982 until her death. My wife and I last saw her in person in February, and then by Zoom over the summer. She fought a long and valiant struggle with cancer, and although we are glad that her suffering is over, we are sad to lose her. Gone too soon.

My family (Strapel) is saddened by the news of Jodi’s passing. Jodi was a sweet, smart and interesting lady. We met over 40 years ago and I fondly followed her in Facebook. The Witmer family members were some of our family’s first friends in Centre county. My mother (now Lois Swanger) and father (Ron Strapel), and brothers, Craig and John also send their condolences. We have many special memories. May the Witmer family find support and love for this sad time.

Jodi graduated from SCAHS in 1974 with me and we shared some classes. Her family had the mountainside cabin at the end of the road and my family’s (Nicholas) cabin was the first one on that road. It was great to see Jodi and talk together at our last reunion in 2018. I know she fought with all her might ~ thankfully she is at peace now in the arms of our God. Blessings to her family at this sad time.
