Bellefonte, Pennsylvania - John A. Susan, 64, of Bellefonte passed away at his residence on Thursday, November 18, 2021. John was born on July 29, 1957 in Bellefonte. He was preceded in death by his mother, the late Barbara Basura and his late step-father, Paul Susan. On June 15, 1985, he married Penny L. Baney (Susan) who survives at home. John is also survived by his children, Jason (Tana) Troup of State College, Shawna L.(Daniel) Bitner of Pittsburgh, Chelsea M. Susan of Harrisburg, Kaitlin H. Susan of Bellefonte; his grandchildren, Rayne Bitner, Rylee Troup, Piper Troup, Max Troup and his brothers, Peter Susan of Charleston, SC and Joseph Susan of State College. Along with his mother and step father he was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen D. Fink.
John was a member of the Fleming Free Methodist Church. He loved P.S.U. football, the Philadelphia Eagles, hunting and hiking. He loved the out doors and also singing Happy Birthday.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 1 PM to 3 PM at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 201 Spring Street, Milesburg. The family has requested that those attending John's visitation and service please wear your Penn State attire in John's memory. A funeral service will follow at 3 PM with Pastor Melody Weston officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
