Mabel R. Dolan

Mabel R. Dolan June 9, 1933 - September 11, 2010 Mabel R. Dolan, of Bellefonte, died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in College Township. Born on June 9, 1933, in Bellefonte, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Fry and Odessa Graffius Fry. In 1957, in Bellefonte, she married Daniel W. Dolan, who preceded her in death on July 14, 2009. She attended the Bellefonte school system. Mabel worked in the janitorial department at the Penn State University until her retirement in 2001, after 32 years of service. She is survived by two daughters, Debra Craig (John), of Bellefonte, and Lorie Frank (Jack), of Philipsburg; a son, Dan Dolan Jr. (Natalie), of Julian; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Barb McCool, of Zion, Pearl Dixon, of Ohio, June Hall, of Woodland; and a brother, Elmer Fry, of Petersburg. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. There will be a public visitation from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, at Wetzler Funeral Service Inc., 206 N. Spring St., Bellefonte. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, at the funeral home, with Pastor Rob Tevis officiating. Burial will follow in Meyer Cemetery, Benner Township.
