Margaret Adaline Tepsic
November 5, 1926 - October 3, 2025
Tyrone, Pennsylvania - Margaret Adaline Tepsic, 98, of Tyrone, was called home to her place in Heaven on Friday October 3, 2025. She was born on November 5, 1926, in Milesburg, PA, the daughter of the late Austin C. and Esther J. (Sessamen) Sherry. Margaret was a graduate of State College Area High School class of 1945 where she enjoyed being a member of the cheering squad.
Her first job after graduation was as a cashier selling tickets at The State Theater in State College where she met her future husband, Joseph J. Tepsic. They made plans to meet at an Auto Port dance where they danced together, during which time he told her he was going to marry her. Margaret and Joseph indeed married on December 10, 1945, and eventually raised 6 children together.
Surviving are sons Joseph M. Tepsic of Hollidaysburg, Austin L. Tepsic and Michael D. Tepsic of Tyrone; a daughter Arlene Parkhill (husband Bruce) of State College and Naples, FL; daughters-in-law Jackie Tepsic and Vickey Tepsic of Tyrone. 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She was a nearly lifelong member and former elder of the Bald Eagle Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. She was devout in her faith and took great joy in her daily worship. As a young mother, Margaret enjoyed taking her family on camping trips and was very adept at making a home out of a campsite. As her children grew up she convinced Joseph to buy two horses, which she actively cared for and enjoyed. She was an excellent seamstress and taught herself to do upholstery. She enjoyed oil painting in her midlife and even attempted to learn to play golf. She was never afraid to learn something new and was constantly reading and taking notes for future reference. In her later years she loved working in her yard and just sitting outside and watching the coming and goings of the neighborhood. She loved her family deeply and will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by two sons Bruce J. Tepsic and Mark C. Tepsic of Tyrone; daughters-in-law Marcia A Tepsic of Tyrone and Janice M. Tepsic of Hollidaysburg, her siblings William Sherry, Mildred Savino, Paul Sherry and Robert Sherry; and 2 grandchildren.
