Mark Emery Obituary

Mark F. Emery December 29, 1958 - March 1, 2011 Mark F. Emery, 52, Salina, Kan., formerly of Bellefonte, died at his home on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, after a lifetime battle with diabetes. Mark was born in West Chester, Pa, Dec. 29, 1958, a son of Harold A. Emery, Sauna, Kan. and the late Kathleen Humfleet Emery. He is survived by brothers, Peter Emery and Paul Emery, both of Salina, Kan., a sister Raeann Emery-Posner, Richardson, Texas. Mark was also preceded in death by a brother, John Emery in 1988. Mark Attended the Bellefonte Area High School in the late 1970's. Throughout his life he lived in Colorado, California, Florida and then Salina Kansas. Each move was made to be close to his family members. A memorial service will be held in Salina, Kan. on March 26, 2011. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312, or you may call 1-800-342-2383. Donations may also be made online at www.diabetes.org. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of The Ryan Mortuary, Salina, KS.

I remember Mark well from grade school through high school graduation. Our reunion committee contacted him before our 30th in hopes that he would attend. Very sorry to hear of his passing.

I remember Mark from growing up in Bellefonte. We shot a lot of hoops at the elementary school playground. He was a good guy. I'm sorry for your loss.
