Irene was a devoted church member of Dover First Seventh-day Adventist Church. She owned her own beauty shop, Irene's Beauty Shop, where she did hair up until her retirement. Irene will be remembered as someone who was family oriented and believed family was everything.
Irene is survived by her son, Robert Emery; daughter, Diane Cook; and her grandchildren, Lindsey Dietz and Jeremy Cook.
A memorial service for Irene will take place on Monday, April 6, 2026, at 2:00pm at Pippin Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one-hour prior beginning at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows in Camden.
