Rich always left cryptic movie emails and phone messages that challenged me and made me chuckle. News of his passing left me incredulous...Images of all the parties, parades, and antique auctions flashed before me...I will miss his dry humor, his thoughtful and honest friendship, and of course that moustache! I know that he is sitting @ a table in Heaven's garden cafe, talking to Rita Hayworth, asking about filming Gilda! All my sympathies to his dear and loving family, and to all of his many friends... Love, Julie K. Stover Pittsburgh, Pa

My husband Greg and I both worked at Mike's Video "back in the day" and Rich was one of the best parts of our job. He was this quiet well of knowledge who would share with those who asked but never force his opinion on anyone. Someone else in this guest book used the term "gentle soul"--and that is a wonderful reflection of Rich. He played the piano for our wedding ceremony and I will always think of him whenever I hear those songs...

Rich...my friend...words that many are saying. Your heart was pure, your humor was saucey, your smile infectious, your head was always together and your friendship was genuine. You leave behind friends that are better for knowing you. So, goodnight my friend, until we meet again......

Dear Family and Friends,
I was so saddened to hear the news of Rich's passing. Rich and I grew up in the same neighborhood and despite our age differences, we have remained in touch. Words are not much comfort at this time but I wanted to let you know both Ed and I are sending you our deepest sympathy.

To Rich's family and friends,
It hit me like a ton of bricks when I learned of Rich's passing. Rich was one-of-a-kind and will be missed. Things would happen and soon I would get a message from him either asking questions or sharing his thoughts. And the fact that he and my Mother shared the same birthday never went unnoticed. Most recently he messaged me because he couldn't wait to see all of my pictures from the BHS Class of 1974 reunion.(I am so glad that I made sure they were posted before I left on vacation). I am really going to miss those random messages.
We all have another wonderful guardian angel watching over us and we are blessed.
Rest in Peace my friend.
