Robert Miller Obituary

Robert M. Miller Sept. 30, 1912 -January 14, 2006 Robert M. Miller, 93, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of McAlevys Fort, died at 7:35 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, at the Health Center in Ocoee, Fla. Born Sept. 30, 1912, in McAlevys Fort, he was the son of the late Dr. Henry E. and Jessie L. (Bigelow) Miller. He was married to Anna (Wilson) Miller on Nov. 3, 1933. She survives. Mr. Miller was employed by the Pa. Dept. of Forest and Waters. He had his own lumber mill and later ran the saw mill at Rockview Correctional Institute. He also owned an apple orchard in Belleville. He was a 50-year member of Mt. Moriah Lodge F. & A.M., Huntingdon, and was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church, McAlevys Fort. Also surviving are three children, Patricia Finger, of Corona, Ariz., Robert E. Miller, of Milesburg and Beverly Carpenter, of Kernersville, N.C.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and siblings, Marie Yocum, of Chambersburg and Jay R. Miller, of Petersburg. He was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Ellen Laub, Hilda Anastasia and Barbara Miller, and brothers, William W. Miller, Joseph Miller, Samuel B. Miller and Gerald Miller. Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Stephens Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephens Lutheran Church, in care of Pat Wilson, R.D. 1, Petersburg, PA 16669. Arrangements are by the Baggus Funeral Home, Belleville.
