Terry Cole Obituary
July 26, 1947 - March 9, 2025
State College, Pennsylvania - With a heavy heart and great sorrow we report the passing of Terry Candace Cole on March 9th, 2025. She is preceded in death by her sister Linda (2013) and her sister Holly (2021). She was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother and aunt who enjoyed spending time with her family and doting on her grandchildren.
Although she had been in declining health for the last few years, she still liked reading and coloring albums. Her previous hobbies included gardening and photography, and she enjoyed traveling a great deal.
Terry Candace was born in Wakefield, RI on July 26th, 1947, to Harold Robert Cole and Dorothy Alma (Shepard) Cole. She graduated in 1965 from Chester High School in Vermont where her father was a teacher. She met Dr. S. Ramanujam, a graduate of Brown University, in 1965 while a student at the University of Vermont. They moved to Seattle, WA and married in 1966. She later graduated from William Patterson College in NJ with a BA in Education. She moved to Pennsylvania in 1977 and went on to obtain a MS in Psychology from the Pennsylvania State University at University Park. She worked for many years for Head Start and Skills of PA as a behavioral specialist, and in semi-retirement was active as a clothing sales clerk at Macy's.
She is survived by sons Robert and Ryan; their spouses; six grandchildren; and her former husband S. Ramanujam.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.n. on this Thursday, March 13th, at Koch's Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College.
