Port Matilda, Pennsylvania - Tyler R. Szczesny, 39, of Port Matilda, passed away at home on Thursday, February 13, 2025. Born August 9, 1985, in Danbury, Connecticut, he was the son of Michael E. Szczesny & Robin Huth Szczesny who preceded him in death.

Tyler's work ethic started at an early age, when he was 5 years old, he would accompany his dad to the office each Saturday with his tie on & briefcase in hand doing office errands.

Tyler was a 2004 graduate of State College Area High School. He went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Penn State University in Mechanical Engineering. Immediately upon graduation he went to work for Frac tech out of Williamsport Pa., following successful careers at Goulds Pumps in Western NY & Los Angeles, eventually moving on to a regional position for Cummins -Wagner based out of State College.

In addition to his father along with Penny Condo, he is survived by his brother, Christopher Szczesny, and two nieces, Freya and Lina, all of Port Matilda, and his paternal grandmother, Diane Szczesny of Long Island NY, and Aunt and Uncle Laura (Szczesny) and Pat Mathayomchand, and Cousin Michael of Bangkok Thailand, Aunt Cindy (Huth) Evanoff and daughter Lexi Smolarek and husband Matt and son Jackson of Buffalo NY, and Aunt Melissa (Huth) & Jeremy Cwiklinski and cousins Ben, Nathaniel & Joseph of Rochester NY.

Along with his mother, he is predeceased by his grandparents, Crystal and Herbert Huth, and Grandfather Edward Szczesny along with his beloved Siberian Husky of 16 years, Samson.

Tyler was a true outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed hiking with Samson, recreational shooting with regular visits to the range, and a true car enthusiast who treasured his E 36 M3 BMW along with his past motorcycles and interest in various other sports cars. He enjoyed vacationing in Culebra with friends and the many visits to Coopers Beach in Southampton NY with family. He was a dedicated Penn State fan and always enjoyed various sports and attending home football games. His family and friends will remember him for his vibrant spirit, which always raised the energy of those around him simply by his presence. His caring demeanor and willingness to always lend a hand when others needed help will truly be missed but not forgotten. You could always count on him for his quick humor and to be the first person to show up if you needed anything!

Family and friends will be received for a Celebration of Life to be announced sometime soon.

Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
