There are friends, there´s family then there are friends that become family! Since the early 70´s when we met, we remained good friends! You training to become a plumber, me and three other young professional working women all living in a modest Efficiency apartment building in Champaign, IL. After work, we´d all sit around in the hallway, usually outside my door, where the aroma of delicious southern cooking filled the building, and share the events of our day and solve the problems of the world! We never lost touch! You became the brother that I never had! You were there when I achieved academic and career goals, raised by boys, celebrated my parents (who loved you like a son). You were there when I buried my parents and my son. You´d spend holidays with us or stop by as you visited other friends! You were also my plumber and fixit helper! We talked often, checking up on each other, and I sent you daily messages of encouragement. Some found your directness and strong will to be a bit much, but I saw your kindness and your need for acceptance and appreciation. I Thank The Good Lord Jesus Christ for placing you in my life my Dear Brother Friend. I miss you so much already! Praying That You Are Resting In The Arms Of Our Lord And Savior Jesus Christ! Your Sister, Lo!
