Sharon Sypult Obituary

Sharon Ann Sypult, 81 of Urbana passed away at 6:54 a.m. on September 26, 2025, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. She was born in Detroit, MI on April 19, 1944, the daughter of Ward & Dorothy (Jenkins) Winn. She married Steven Sypult on August 2, 1965, and they celebrated 60 years of marriage together. Sharon is survived by her husband, Steve, and stepdaughter- Evette (Jeff) Yates of Charlottesville, VA, grandchildren- Calvin Yates & Spencer Yates. She is preceded by her parents and son- Steven D. Sypult. Sharon worked as a registered nurse for Burnham Hospital and McKinley Health Center. She was an equestrian and enjoyed owning horses throughout her life. She enjoyed traveling especially in Mexico and the Caribbean. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 4-6:00 p.m. at Renner-Wikoff Chapel. Graveside will be held on Friday, October 3 at 10:00 a.m. at Grandview Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be sent at www.renner-wikoffchapel.com
