Tracy Cunningham Obituary

Tracy Cunningham "Sucker C", age 55, passed away peacefully, leaving a lasting legacy of love, community service, and dedication. Born in Decatur, IL, he was the son of Henry Wilder and Catherine Taylor, who predeceased him. Tracy was a proud graduate of Lakeland College, where he not only earned his High School Diploma but also showcased his commitment to education by making the President's List and Honors List. He received a certificate in fundamental construction skills, which fueled his passion for renovating homes. In his free time, Tracy dedicated himself to volunteering in his community, embodying the spirit of service and generosity. Tracy's love for home reconstruction and landscaping was matched only by his joy in spending time with his family and friends. He cherished his pets and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He is survived by his beloved children: Darrious Johnson, Tracy Cunningham Jr., Daneka Ford, and Asher Wilson-Cunningham. Tracy was also raised as a son by Dickson Taylor. He leaves behind his brothers Demetrius Taylor, Stephen Taylor, and Wayne Shelby, and his sisters Dixie Taylor, Lacora Taylor, Stacey Taylor, Constance Taylor, Alexis Taylor, Keana Wilder, and Nicole Taylor. Tracy's legacy also includes cherished uncles, Rev. John Cunningham, Jerry Lee Cunningham, and Robert Cunningham, as well as aunts Cindy Evans, Stella Douglas, and Laura Simpson, along with special aunts Annie (Mike) Carney and Cora Lee Cunningham. He holds a special place in the hearts of loved ones, including Chana Ford, Cassandra Cunningham Johnson, Jozette "Cupp" Chaney and Angie Chaney, John Cunningham Jr., Marcus Douglas, Tyione Bradford, A.J. Gause, James Jones Jr. "JJ", Eric Stovell and Sammie Cunningham Jr., and his special grandson, De'Mari Ford "Dae Dae", along with grandchildren, Londyn Macklin, J'Kayla Campbell, Brooklynn Ford, D'Yanii Ford, and A'Journee Rena Ford. Tracy was preceded in death by his parents, Catherine Taylor and Henry Wilder, his son Demetrius Ford, and his beloved grandparents, Willie Lee Cunningham, Annie Kit Cunningham, T.C. Wilder, and Katherine Wilder. He also mourned the loss of many cousins and uncles, including Chauncy L. Douglas, Willie Wilder, Sammie Cunningham, Ollie Douglas, JD Cunningham, James Cunningham, William Cunningham, John Earl Cunningham, and Robert Earl Cunningham, as well as aunts Pearl Cunningham, Ernestine Douglas and Mary Bradford.
