Cary was a devoted alumus of the University of Maryland College Park and a bright spirit to many people and organizations. He was a joy to be with.

He was a wonderful man whose visits to The Nature Conservancy's Virginia Coast Reserve were like random spring rains: we were never sure when or why he would show up, but it was always refreshingly lovely. The VCR staff here in Nassawadox VA misses him.

Dear David/Robin ~
Thank you for calling about your Dad; so sorry we missed you. What a wonderful and giving man throughout his life. He had many friends and no wonder ~ he was delightful to be with any time ... a great sense of humor, truly dedicated to those he loved and his causes. We and many will surely miss him. Dear David & Robin,
My heartfelt condolences for you both. Cary was a weekly joy in my life for the past couple of years. We shared many laughs as we navigated the road from PE to St. John's. I will always remember him fondly whenever I look at the books in the pews. They will never be the same! God's peace to you both.

Dearest David and Robin, I just heard of your Dad's passing and wanted to send my heartfelt condolences. I had seen your Dad and talked with him briefly during our visit to the Plantation at Christmas time and was aware that he was not doing well and seemed depressed. Getting older was not his cup of tea! I certainly have peace in knowing that all suffering is now over. My prayers are with you both.

David and Robin - words cannot express the impact your Dad had on my life, starting back when I was a student at CPCC. I enjoyed his teaching so much I rearranged my curriculum so I could sit in all of his Sales and Marketing classes. I spent many hours while there and in later years discussing sales, work and life in general. As you know, our teacher-student relationship deepened into a lasting friendship. As time went on, that friendship grew to include my wife whom he really came to love. I will always remember Cary for his sweet spirit and gentle heart. He was my friend, mentor and often like a second dad. I grieve with and for you and, like you, will miss him terribly.

Dear David & Robin,
It was truly a pleasure to know your dad. Cary was one of the first people that I came to love since joining the PE staff in 2010. I will miss our hugs and talks. You are both in my prayers that God will comfort you during the days ahead.
Love,
