Ada Stevenson Obituary

CHERAW -- Mrs. Ada Salley Evans Stevenson, age 87, died at her home on June 14, 2003. She was the wife of the late Col. Ernest B. Stevenson.
Born in Cheraw, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Craig and Ada Salley Evans. She graduated from Winthrop College and worked for many years in the Department of Social Service in Washington, DC and Greenwood, SC. She was a member of St. David's Episcopal Church in Cheraw.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Rose S. Anhalt and Russell E. Anhalt of Cheraw; 2 step grandchildren, Eddie Anhalt of Hartsville and Tonda Quick of Cheraw; 3 step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held by the graveside on Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Old St. David's Cemetery in Cheraw.
Memorials can be made to St. David's Episcopal Church Renovation Fund, PO Box 926, Cheraw, SC or to Hospice of Chesterfield County, PO Box 293, Chesterfield, SC 29709.
Norton Funeral Home of Cheraw is serving the family of Mrs. Stevenson.
