Albert Brathe Obituary
Mr. Brathe was born June 6, 1914 in Duelmen, Germany, son of the late August Brathe and Maria Gertrud Baumeister Brathe and was a Master Chef and Baker. A dedicated and hard working man, Mr. Brathe moved his family to the United States in 1956. He served as a volunteer with Hospice at Charlotte.
A service to celebrate the life of Albert A. Brathe will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2003 at McEwen Pineville Chapel with Donn DeHart officiating. The family will greet friends following the service and proceed to Forest Lawn West Cemetery for the committal service.
Mr. Brathe is survived by his four children: Gertrud Clause of Bradenburg, KY; Dieter Brathe and wife, Barbara of Charlotte; Bodo Brathe of Davis, NC, and Fred Brathe and wife, Laury of Ft. Mill, SC; daughter-in-law, Maria Brathe of Ft. Mill, SC; 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; one brother, Heinz Brathe of Duelmen, Germany and a loving caregiver, Debra Von Bedinski and his two loving Dachshunds, Kleiner and Rocky. Mr. Brathe was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Hertha Brathe in 1996. The family would like to thank Hospice at Charlotte for the love, care and support during the illness of Mr. Brathe.
Memorials may be made in remembrance of Albert A. Brathe to Hospice at Charlotte, 1420 E. Seventh St., Charlotte, NC 28204 or to the Humane Society of your choice.

I'll always remember that time when my brother and I sang "Father Abraham" when he was in the hospital.He was in the hospital for breaking a vein or some thing. I miss him a lot.
