Leonard Stephens III
DORSET, VT -- The glorious spirit of Albert Leonard Stephens III left this earth on Tuesday, May 18th, 2010. Leonard was born on January 31, 1964 in Shreveport, LA to Brandon Taylor Stephens and the late Dr. Albert Leonard Stephens II. He was a graduate of the Asheville School for Boys in Asheville, NC and the University of the South in Sewanee TN.
Leonard is survived by his loving wife Treva O'Leary Stephens and four wonderful children- Morgan Kinsman Stephens, John Arundel Stephens, Charles Harper Stephens and Barbara Anne Stephens all of Woodstock, his mother Brandon Taylor Stephens of Shreveport, sisters Katherine Harell of Baton Rouge, LA, Shirley Woodruff of Charlotte, NC and Sarah Hoffman of New Orleans, LA as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Leonard was an entrepreneur, adventurer, a devout Christian and a devoted family man. He made friends everywhere he went and he touched the lives of many people in many positive ways.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 11:00am at Zion Episcopal Church in Manchester, VT followed by a gathering in the parish hall. Private interment will take place at St. Michael's Episcopal Church burial yard in Charleston, SC. In lieu of flowers, donations to the memory of Leonard may be made to Water Missions of Charleston in care of Brewster Funeral Service, P.O. Box 885, Manchester, VT 05255.
