Matthews, North Carolina - Albertus Sims, 87, affectionately known as Al, passed away peacefully at home on October 23, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family and the grace of hospice care.
A service to celebrate Al's life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Matthews United Methodist Church, 801 South Trade Street, Matthews, NC. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 3:00 p.m.
