Alson Lloyd Goode, Jr.
'Buddy'
Mr. Goode, 76, formerly of Charlotte, died Monday, September 18, 2006 at his home on St. Helena Island, SC.
Born November 15, 1929 in Charlotte, Buddy was the son of the late Alson Lloyd and Kathryn King Newsom Goode. Mr. Goode attended Charlotte City Schools, The Blue Ridge School, and Rollins College. He also served in the U.S. Navy. While in Charlotte, Mr. Goode was engaged in the construction business.
Mr. Goode is preceded in death by oldest son, Alson L. Goode, III and his sister, Kathryn G. Clark.
Mr. Goode is survived by a son, Winston G. Goode; daughter, Kathryn G. Sherard; and grandson, John W. Sherard, all of Charlotte.
A private service was held at Elmwood City Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Carolina Funeral Service & Cremation Center is entrusted with the arrangements.

My husband and I met your father at a local restaurant LT's on the Island that we always at on Saturdays. He was a very fine gentlemen. I always enjoyed seeing him and talking to him. I am very sorry for your loss. Mr. Goode will be missed. May God comfort your family at this tragic time.
