Anne Roller

Anne Louise Roller (Tuttle) CHARLOTTE - Anne Louise Roller, 53, of Denver, died tragically in an auto accident in Charlotte on April 2, 2014. Born Sept. 8, 1960, in Sharon, Conn., she was the daughter of Jane (Kennedy) Tuttle and the late George W. Tuttle of Lakeville, Conn. She graduated from the Hotchkiss School in Lakeville in 1978 and Ithaca College in 1982. Anne had a distinguished 28-year career in sports television. She was a multi-Emmy Award winner for her graphics work on the 1990 Indianapolis 500 Mile race for ABC Sports and the 1996 Atlanta Olympics for NBC Sports. For the last 10 years, she has been with ESPN in the Charlotte Regional Office as Manager of Motion Graphics and Creative Services overseeing graphic looks of ESPNU as well as all of the division's syndicated sports productions. Most recently she was preparing for the launch of ESPN's SEC Network. Anne was an accomplished equestrian. In 2004 she was inducted into the United States Pony Club's prestigious Academy of Achievement. She loved genealogy, and languages especially French and Italian and art. Outdoors she spent her time gardening, sailing and kayaking. She loved dogs but none more than her beloved Lucky. Anne married Jim Roller on April 23, 1983 in Lakeville, Conn. She is survived by her husband, Jim, of Denver and her mother, Jane Tuttle (originally from Lakeville, Conn. and currently living in Charlotte), and four canines: Lucky, Sophie, Jack Foster and Harry. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all. The Kenny Funeral Homes of Sharon, Connecticut has care of arrangements. A memorial service will be held in Connecticut.
