Anthony "Tony" Earnest Frame
October 28, 1972 - September 20, 2022
Belmont, North Carolina - Belmont, North Carolina
Anthony "Tony" Earnest Frame, Age 49, died on September 20, 2022, at Atrium Health in Pineville, North Carolina.
Tony was a Senior Vice President at Bank of America in the Global Climate Risk group. He was a graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park. Tony was an avid Baltimore Orioles and Manchester United fan and enjoyed Formula One, playing tennis, travel and was an audiophile with a large range of musical interests. Tony had a great sense of humor and an extremely sharp wit. He also loved television and movies of all types, but some of his favorites that he enjoyed watching were Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Marvel, Sherlock Holmes, and Ted Lasso. Tony was the go-to person in the family for financial advice and deep philosophical conversations about life.
Tony was so proud of his son, Thomas, and his ongoing education at the Washington and Lee University School of Law. He and Lisa celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary on Sunday, September 18th in the hospital, with long talks, hand holding, and laughter.
Tony's body was too weak to overcome the challenges of his hospitalization and he made his final journey, shocking nurses, doctors, and everyone in the hospital who cared for him and didn't expect his time there to come to this unexpected ending.
Tony was predeceased by his father, Frederick Earnest Frame.
Tony is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Morris Frame; son, Thomas Alexander Earnest Frame of Belmont, North Carolina; mother, Nong Ok "Nancy" Chu Frame; sister, Meagan Ok Frame of Manassas, Virginia; mother and father-in-law, Dawn and Steve Jones of Union Mills, NC; sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Tim Miller and their children; grandchildren; and grandmother-in-law, Hazel B. Radford.
It is with our utmost gratitude, love, devotion, and thanks to Dr. Katherine Mileham and the team at Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute for their two and a half years of devoted care to Tony and our family. Thomas and I are eternally grateful.
Tony took the words of Marvel Comics Tony Stark after his diagnosis and lived with the credo "Whatever it Takes." He did whatever it took and spent a beautiful two and a half years after his diagnosis living his life to the fullest with his family.
A visitation will be Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 1:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church of Belmont. A memorial service in the church sanctuary at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Sam Warner officiating, will immediately follow the visitation.
In lieu of flowers, Lisa and Thomas would like donations to be made to "Let's Win Pancreatic Cancer Foundation" where on-the-job knowledge helped guide Tony through his stage IV lung cancer diagnosis
