Audrey Hagler Obituary
Elizabeth Bright Hagler
Mrs. Hagler, age 82, of Concord, formerly of Charlotte and Oak Island, died Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Carolinas Medical Center - University. Born February 10, 1927, in Danville, VA, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Loman Bright and Essie Clark Bright. Mrs. Hagler retired as a cafeteria worker of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools after 18 years of service. She was a member of Kerr Memorial Baptist Church and a former member of East Baptist Church.
The Service to Celebrate the Life of Audrey Elizabeth Bright Hagler will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at McEwen Funeral Service - Mint Hill Chapel with The Reverend Jonathan DeBell officiating. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Lewis Mangum Hagler, Jr.; two sons, Ronald Lewis Hagler and wife, Linda, of Charlotte and Thomas Mangum Hagler and wife, Pamela, of Harrisburg; a nephew, Benjamin Bright and wife, Sylvia; three grandchildren, Lewis R. Hagler and wife, Katrina, of Honolulu, HI, Christopher F. Hagler and wife, Heidi, of Albemarle and Ashley Hagler Steinke and husband, Josh, of Charlotte; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hagler was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

I was so sorry to hear of Audrey's death today. I enjoyed talking to her when she was able to be at the worship service. She was so kind to offer me lemon drops when Mary Furr was absent. I will keep Lewis and all of the family in my prayers during these difficult days of adjustment.
