Dawn Rash is a cherished friend, and I was sorry to hear from her about Ben's terrible accident. I'm so very sorry for your family during this devastating time. I have been praying for you, Faith, Katy, Krista, Heather, and Jeremiah. I've especially thought about you, Jeremiah, because I have a son your age. I'll continue to pray that God will be your Comfort and Provider during these days of missing your husband and dad. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I have many memories of Ben but here is a humorous one. When Susan and I were roommates, he sent me a cassette that he had made of some of his favorite music. Only he sent it like it was from a Chattanooga music company with a form included on which you could order more like it. I promptly sent in an order. It came back undeliverable. Susan and I even went so far as to look in a Chattanooga phone book to try to find the street address. It didn't exist. When Ben found out what I had done he thought it was the funniest thing ever and never let me forget how gullible I was.
