Betty Ergle

Betty Moore Ergle CHARLOTTE - Betty Moore Ergle, 80, peacefully passed away on September 19, 2013, at Hospice House after a long battle with cancer. She was born September 17, 1933 in Atlanta, GA. to the late Hampton E. Moore and Sybil Wallace Moore. Along with her parents, Betty is preceded in death by siblings Bob Moore, Sue Lingefelt, Joe Moore and Ronald Moore. She is survived by her husband John Q. Ergle of Emeritus at Southpark, daughter Cynthia Ferguson and husband Jim Ferguson, son Samuel Ray Ergle and wife Sandra Ergle, and brother Walter Moore and wife Melody Moore. Her three grandchildren are Brian Sisk and wife Megan Hatley, Daniel Ergle and Elizabeth Pressley and her two great-grandchildren Coen and Lily Sisk. Betty loved being a homemaker, with a loving and kind spirit for helping others in need. She loved nature and especially flowers, and spent a short-career as a floral designer. She loved and cherished her family and always put them above any other interest, but also enjoyed reading (especially scripture) and doing needle work. The family wishes to extend their utmost gratitude and thanks to all the Hospice team involved with care and love shown to our wife, mother, and grandmother during these last months of her life, and their support shown her family during a difficult time. Carolina Funeral Services at 5505 Monroe Road will be handling the funeral arrangements. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Carolina Funeral Services from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.
